Last year, health and human service organizations saw their programs cut. Native Hawaiians comprise 50% plus of their clientele. The intent of the forum is to seek information from the candidates on their priorities, to ascertain whether those priorities are inclusive of the concerns of our collective communities, and to educate the community on issues of concern to them, so that sound decisions can be made at the election pools. Candidates will be asked about their health and human services initiatives and Native Hawaiian initiatives. The AHCC will be present to register voters.
